HydraExpress uses a mechanism called named objects to load transports and message handlers into the service container that hosts services. At Agent startup, these named objects are placed into a global naming context, which makes them available to any servlet running in the same context. This mechanism is also available to you. You can use it to extend the functionality of your services in just about any way imaginable. In this section, we describe how you might use a named object to obtain database connectivity.
