Thank you for purchasing Rogue Wave® HydraExpress. HydraExpress (formerly LEIF) provides a framework for developing and hosting high performance C++ Web Services, including advanced XML, SOAP, and WSDL productivity tools for transforming new and existing C++ applications for use in Service Oriented Architectures (SOA).
HydraExpress is available as a standalone product, and also as a component in HydraEnterprise, a comprehensive set of components for creating high performance Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) applications. In either case, HydraExpress Web services run in the servlet container of the Hydra Agent runtime, which limits the number of advanced service features these Web services have access to. Consider upgrading to HydraEnterprise if you have any of the following needs:
Full access to message handlers that provide unlimited ability to manipulate both request and response service messages before or after actual service execution.
Full support for advance service features such as security, SOAP attachments, localization, ability to mine data from the service flow (service level instrumentation), and features that support high availability of sevices.
Software pipelines, which provide the ability to parallelize services based on content-based routing to dramatically increase the overall system throughput.
Advanced data access and manipulation features provided through HydraEnterprise use of the Service Data Object (SDO) data model through the components HydraSDO for XML and HydraSDO for Databases.
