5.2 Container Starts, No Contexts Load

The servlet container cannot find the webapps directory, cannot read the webapps directory, or the webapps directory is empty. (The default webapps directory is located at <installdir>\apps\servlets.)

To correct this problem:

• Check that the command line for the servlet container specifies the right directory.

• Make sure that the servlet container has read permission for the webapps directory.

• Make sure that at least one context is present under the webapps directory.

If the servlet container has only one context and the webapps directory satisfies all of the conditions above, see Section 5.4 to troubleshoot problems with an individual context.
