This chapter examines the mechanism for creating, configuring, and using transports when developing Web services. HydraExpress abstracts the configuration and use of transports in a way that allows transports to be added or removed from a service, and dynamically selected at runtime, all with no need to change or recompile your code.
Note that the transports live in separate libraries. This is significant for the HTTPS transport because it means there is no dependency on the Open SSL client library unless you are actually using it.
These are the topics discussed in this chapter:
format and function of the transport configuration files
specifying and altering transport properties
making transports dynamic
creating a transport
