23.1 Overview

HydraExpress supports several options for deploying your Web services. These include using the HydraExpress Agent's servlet execution engine, or using a single-threaded standalone server.

The Agent includes two primary execution engines: the services execution engine, and the servlet execution engine. Incoming requests to Web services are routed to the Agent's servlet execution engine, while business process requests are sent to the services execution engine.

This chapter discusses ways to customize the behavior of the servlet execution engine hosting Web services. For information on configuring other aspects of the Agent, see Section 3.2 in the Introduction to HydraExpress.
