3.1 Overview

This chapter presents a basic tutorial on using HydraExpress to create a simple HelloWorld Web service, a client-server example that demonstrates a simple request and response. The service created in this tutorial is based on the HelloWorld application located in your <installdir>\tutorials\webservices\HelloWorld directory.

To create a Web service and client:

• invoke the generator

• implement the client and service

• compile and run the application
