HydraExpress generates C++ constructs to represent any XML Schema provided as input to the code generator. Each complex type definition in the schema corresponds to a C++ class. The generator also creates HTML reference documentation for the generated data type classes and creates a sample application.
This chapter introduces how to create an XML binding, including a listing of the generated classes. It uses the example WeatherSummary in the <installdir>\webservices\WeatherSummary directory. For more detail and background on how HydraExpress creates XML bindings, and how they may be used, see the HydraExpress XML Binding Development Guide.
Because WeatherSummary is an advanced example, this chapter includes a discussion of just the schema and the generated data types. For a detailed discussion and specific procedures on running the example, see Chapter 9, "Introduction to Message Patterns."
