Cannot perform project synchronization - Failed to synchronize - No files found
When you see the message, "Cannot perform project synchronization: Failed to synchronize issues: No files for synchronization were found", it means that the paths to your source files in your build settings (either your build specification or your build specification template) are incorrect, which causes synchronization to fail. You need to either:
- re-set the path for your build specification template variable because the path to your source files was set incorrectly (see the instructions below if your are a build specification template user), or
- you need to recreate your build specification to update your file paths. The paths in the build specification may be wrong, for example, if you generated a build specification for your project on one machine and then analyzed the same project from a different machine. For instructions on how to recreate your build specification, see Cannot perform project synchronization - No common files with a project on the Klocwork Server
The above message displays for Klocwork Desktop, IDE plug-in and kwcheck users when your connected desktop project fails to synchronize with the server project. Synchronization problems are indicated with this icon: . Mousing over the icon displays the sync error message. You'll know Connected desktop and synchronization is working again when you see the Project is synchronized icon.
Double-check and fix your variable settings for:
- kwcheck by listing your variable(s) with kwcheck list-vars. If the path is incorrect, remove your variable setting with kwcheck remove-var, and then set the correct path with kwcheck set-var
- Klocwork Desktop by going to Tools > Configure build specification variables. Make sure the path to your source files is correct.
If the path to your source files is correct and you're still having this problem, then contact your Klocwork administrator.
