Can't connect to License Server
The following information may be useful to you if you see the error message "Can't Connect to License Server (-15)."
|the License Server (lmgrd) has not been started yet||Check the License Server status with: |
kwservice --projects-root <projects_root> check licenseIf kwservice check reports that the License Server is not running, you need to start the server. If the server does not start and you are not running a corporate license server, check <projects_root>/logs/license.log for error messages. If you are running a corporate license server, look at the logs on that server to determine the cause of the failure.
|The license file is not in the correct location.||If you are using the FlexNet Publisher server packaged with Klocwork, the license file must be in the following directory: <projects_root>/licenses If you are running a corporate license server (not the Klocwork License Server), see Using your organization's FlexNet Publisher server. The license file must have the extension .lic.|
|Invalid host name in the license file.||You cannot change the physical host of the Klocwork License Server in the license file. If you need to move the License Server to another host, you must contact Klocwork for a new license file. However, see Setting the host name of the Klocwork servers if the name of the machine hosting the License Server has changed, or if you want to change how the host name is defined (for example, from a simple to a fully qualified host name).|
|The TCP/IP port in the license file has been changed.||See Setting the ports used by the Klocwork servers.|
|There is a firewall between you and your License Server.||Ensure that you have direct access to the machine hosting the License Server.|
|You are not connected to the network.||If your License Server is not on the same machine as your client application, you must be connected to the LAN in order to connect to the License Server and run Klocwork products.|
|Your License Server is not on the network.||If your License Server is not on the same machine as your client application, the License Server must be on the LAN.|
