NOTE -- Support for the DB XA Module is available only when Rogue Wave Solution Services installs and configures the DB XA Module for specific platforms and XA-compliant Transaction Processing Monitors (TPMs). Please contact your Rogue Wave account representative for more information.
This reference provides the following:
A description of the RWDBManager class, whose database() function contains the propertyString parameter that provides XA connectivity. The DB XA Module also exposes the RWDBManager function xaSwitch(), which helps build servers that are truly independent of the database vendor being used.
Caveats about using methods of certain SourcePro DB classes in an XA environment. In particular, RWDBStoredProc and RWDBTable methods that produce data definition language (DDL) calls will not work in an XA environment.
Brief descriptions of the RWDBEnvironmentHandle and RWDBSystemHandle classes. These classes have Access Module-specific implementations.
The entry for each class in this reference section begins with an illustration showing its inheritance hierarchy, if any, followed by a synopsis indicating the header file(s) associated with the class. The synopsis also shows a declaration and definition of a class object.
Following the synopsis is a brief description of the class, and a list of member and global functions. These functions are organized into categories according to their general use -- for example "constructors," "global operators," and "public member functions." The categories, while somewhat arbitrary, provide a way of organizing the many functions.
NOTE -- Refer to the SourcePro DB Reference for a complete list of SourcePro DB classes.
