DB Access Module for MySQL User's Guide

Chapter 1: Introduction

A SourcePro DB installation consists of the DB Interface Module and one or more DB Access Modules. Each DB Access Module provides access to a specific database API; this architecture is explained in detail in the DB Interface Module User's Guide.

The DB Access Module for MySQL provides access to the MySQL database, using the MySQL C API.

NOTE -- This manual assumes that you have installed your client database software and established a successful database connection. For more information, see Section 1.3.3, "Database Connectivity," in the DB Interface Module User's Guide, and the manual Installing and Building Your SourcePro C++ Products.
