6.1 RSA B-Safe and OpenSSL

The Secure Communication Module depends on either RSA B-Safe or OpenSSL as the underlying SSL libraries. You will need to obtain either RSA B-Safe from RSA Security (http://www.rsasecurity.com), or OpenSSL from the OpenSSL Project (http://www.openssl.org).


NOTE -- Support for RSA B-Safe is deprecated in this release. You can expect support to be discontinued in futute editions of SourcePro C++.

6.1.1 OpenSSL Location

The OpenSSL library is included in binary form with the Secure Communication Module. When the Secure Communication Module is installed, the OpenSSL builds are installed in the following locations.

You can use these installations, or specify through the RCB GUI that you want to use an OpenSSL build already installed on your machine.
