1.1 What Is the Secure Communication Module?

The Secure Communication Module enables you to send and receive data securely across the Internet. It contains C++ classes that use the Secure Sockets Layer and Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) protocols for encrypted low-level socket communication and encrypted HTTP connections.
