The CORBA module depends on the availability of an ORB. When you use Rogue Wave's Software Parts Manager to build Tools.h++ Professional, you are asked some questions about your ORB installation. You are first asked to verify that you have installed an ORB. You are then asked:
the name of your ORB vendor
the version number of your ORB
the location of your ORB
You also need to provide this version information when you build your own application. The information is provided through a macro defined in the compiler command line invocation. To specify Orbix version 3.0, define the RW_ORBIX_3_0 macro. You add the following to the compiler command line invocation:
-DRW_ORBIX_3_0=1
