Step 1: Unbundling Downloaded Files
Most Distributions of MemoryScape are delivered via our web site as tar file distributions. Use the tar command to extract the MemoryScape files contained within the installation tar file. For example:
tar xvf memoryscape-version-platform.tar
tar xvf memoryscape-version-doc.tar
NOTE >> On Cray, MemoryScape is always installed with TotalView. Please refer to the TotalView Installation Guide for instructions on installing TotalView with MemoryScape on Cray.
