Installing the Zend Server PHP 7 Early Access

Disclaimer:

The Early Access version of Zend Server is not to be used for production purposes. Some features may not be complete or fully functioning, and some may be removed before the final release of the product.
Upgrades from previous versions of Zend Server are not supported.

This section describes how to install Zend Server with PHP 7 using the installer shell script. The script ensures that the correct repositories are set, verifies system requirements and issues the correct package management commands to set Zend Server up properly.

Note:

This method downloads files from the internet and therefore requires that you have an active Internet connection, access to your distribution's repositories and root privileges for the server.

 

 

Instructions on how to complete a procedure

  1. Download the Zend Server PHP 7 early access installer script from zend.com - http://www.zend.com/en/products/server/php-7-tech-preview

  2. Locate and extract the package:
    ZendServer-9.0.0-TechPreview-RepositoryInstaller-linux.tar.gz

  3. To change to the directory with the installer scripts run:
    cd ZendServer-RepositoryInstaller-linux/

  4. Run the following command:

./install_zs.sh 7.0 --automatic

After installing, a completion notification will appear, with a notice that the server has started.

Note:

To launch Zend Server, and access the UI, open your browser at: https://<Server_IP>:10082/ZendServer (secure), or http://<Server_IP>:10081/ZendServer.

 

 

Instructions on how to complete a procedure

  1. Download the Zend Server PHP 7 early access package from zend.com - http://www.zend.com/en/products/server/php-7-tech-preview

  2. After completing the download, double-click on the .exe file to start the installation process.
  3. Follow instructions as described here.

To launch Zend Server, and access the UI, open your browser at: https://<Server_IP>:10082/ZendServer (secure), or http://<Server_IP>:10081/ZendServer.

  1. Download the Zend Server PHP 7 early access package from zend.com - http://www.zend.com/en/products/server/php-7-tech-preview

  2. After downloading the package, locate the downloaded file, and double-click it to reveal the package file 'ZendServer.pkg'. Double-click the package file to start the installation process.
  3. Follow instructions as described here.
