Starting PV-WAVE
If PV‑WAVE isn’t already installed on your system, install it first. You also need the following options installed in order to run the PV‑WAVE Image Processing Toolkit, PV‑WAVE IMSL Mathematics, PV‑WAVE IMSL Statistics, and of course, the PV‑WAVE Image Processing Toolkit. Once PV‑WAVE and the options are installed, you’re ready to begin.
Starting PV-WAVE Under Windows
Running PV-WAVE on Windows varies depending on which version of Windows you have.
To run the PV-WAVE app, do one of the following:
*On Windows versions prior to 8, you can find the PV-WAVE apps in the Start menu under Programs=>PV‑WAVE. PV-WAVE installs the PV-WAVE Home Window and PV-WAVE Console apps. Select one of these apps to start PV-WAVE.
*On Windows version 8.1 and above, you can find the PV-WAVE app listed in the all apps view. Select the PV-WAVE 2017.0 Home Window app to start PV-WAVE.
When the WAVE> prompt displays inside the PV‑WAVE window, you can enter PV‑WAVE commands.
When you see this prompt, PV‑WAVE is ready for you to enter commands or initialize the Image Processing Toolkit. Go to the section on Initializing Image Processing Toolkit, and perform the initialization.
Starting PV-WAVE Under UNIX
1. Start PV‑WAVE, by typing the following command at your UNIX system prompt:
wave
The command line prompt, WAVE> appears in the terminal.
When you see this prompt, PV‑WAVE is ready for you to enter commands or initialize the Image Processing Toolkit.
2. Go to the section on Initializing Image Processing Toolkit, and perform the initialization.
