Spectrum Dialog Box (Image Tool)
Estimates the power spectrum (power spectral density) of an image.
FFT Squared Method—If selected, computes the power spectral density as the magnitude squared of the FFT of the image.
FFT Subsection Analysis Method—If selected, computes a spectrum of subsections of the image.
Window Type—If FFT Subsection Analysis Method is selected, use this menu to specify a window type to use when computing the spectrum of subsections of the image.
Window Parameter—The window parameter for a Kaiser window.
Subsection Width—The width of the subsections of the image. (Default: xdim/5, where xdim is the width of the image) This option is not available for the FFT Squared Method.
Subsection Height—The height of the subsections of the image. (Default: ydim/5, where ydim is the height of the image) This option is not available for the FFT Squared Method.
Create New Image—If selected, the processed data is used to create a new image. Enter a name for the new image in the Spectrum Output field.
Overwrite Image—If this option is selected, the current image is overwritten by the processed data.
Overlap Fraction—The fraction of the window size that successive subsections of the image overlap. (Default: 0.5) This option is not available for the FFT Squared Method.
Variable Suffix—If the Create New Image option is selected, enter a suffix for the new image variable name. This suffix is added to the original variable name.
OK—Perform the spectrum analysis and exit the dialog box.
Apply—Perform the spectrum analysis, but do not exit the dialog box.
Cancel—Dismiss the dialog box without taking any action.
Help—Display online Help on the dialog box.
