Navigator Overview
A Navigator combines VDA Tools into a single application. The Navigator that is included with PV‑WAVE provides tools for:
*importing and exporting data
*displaying 2D plots, images, histograms, surfaces, and contour plots
*animating data
*viewing and subsetting tables of data
*saving and restoring sessions
*viewing and selecting variables
 
note
Avoid using the PV‑WAVE DEVICE command at the WAVE> command line when the Navigator is running.
Navigator Features
The Navigator has a menu bar and a button bar that contain functions for running VDA Tools, saving and restoring sessions, and customizing VDA Tools with the Tool defaults.
You can start a VDA Tool by clicking MB1 on an icon in the button bar or by using the Tools menu.

Position the pointer over any of the icons in the button bar, and the VDA Tool name is shown in the upper-left corner of the button bar. The VDA Tools found on the Tools menu are the same as the ones on the button bar.
