This dialog box is a standard file selection dialog box. It is used to select a file in which to save a VDA Tool template. A template contains all the information that makes up the VDA Tool—background color, legend, graphical elements, view attributes, axes, and so on—except it does not contain any data.

The dialog box consists of the following text fields, list boxes, and action buttons:

Filter—Text field used to change directories and specify files with wild card characters. Press <Return> or click Filter to apply the filter. The filenames that match the filter are displayed in the Files list box.

Directories—List box used to change directories with the mouse. Double-click on a directory name to switch to that directory.

Files—List box used to select a file with the mouse. Click on a filename to select it, or double-click on a file name to save the file directly.

Enter file name:—Text field used to specify a file in which to save the template. Enter a filename in this text field press <Return> or click OK to save the template.

OK—Save the VDA Tool template in the selected file and exit the dialog box.

Filter—Apply the filter shown in the Filter text field to the directory to list all files ending in the specified three letter extension. Clicking this button is equivalent to pressing <Return> while the input focus is in the Filter text field.

Cancel—Dismiss the dialog box without taking any action.
