Magnifying Selected Data
You may want to magnify a selected portion of the data to view it in more detail. You can do this is by using the Selected Data-Magnified dialog box.
1. Click MB1 on the Magnify Selected Data button in the WzImage controls area. The Selected Data-Magnified dialog box appears.
The next step may be performed at any time; however, if the magnification factor is chosen or changed after the data selection step (Step 5) the Note following Step 5 applies.
2. Click MB1 on the Magnification option menu button to set the magnification factor (default magnification factor is x 2).
3. Choose the magnification desired by clicking MB1 on the selection.

note
The magnification factor is always referenced to the original selected data area. When you choose x 4, the magnified data is four times the original selected data. If you then choose and apply x 8 the data is eight times the original.
4. Click MB1 on the Data Selection button on the WzImage button bar.
5. In the image display, press and drag MB1 to define the area of the image to be magnified.
When MB1 is released the data selection is complete and the magnified data is automatically displayed in the lower-left corner of the Selected Data-Magnified dialog box.

note
You may want to change the magnification value (described in step 2) after the selected data has already been magnified. If so, you must click MB1 on the Redraw button to apply the new magnification factor.
6. When you are done using the Selected Data-Magnified dialog box, you can click MB1 on Dismiss, or deselect the Magnify Selected Data button in the controls area of the WzImage window to close the dialog box.

note
You can use magnification in conjunction with zoom to easily get a detailed look at an area of data from a large image variable.
