Automatically Defining Header, Record, and Field Regions
By default, headers, records, and fields are defined automatically by the WzPreview Tool. Each of the defined regions is highlighted in the display area.
The automatic definitions are a “best guess” at the region (header, record, and field) definitions based on the contents of the data file.
If you have made changes in the display area, such as redefining records and fields, you may decide to go back to the automatic selections that were made when the file was loaded.
The procedure for automatically defining the regions of a previously opened data file is:
1. Select Edit=>Clear All. This clears any current header, record, and field definitions.
2. Click the Autodefine button in the controls area.

note
It may be possible to improve the results of the autodefine feature by adding or changing separators with the Free Format Attributes dialog box. Click here for information on the Free Format Attributes dialog box.
