Keyboard Shortcuts
The RCB GUI supports keyboard shortcuts that generally allow you to navigate, make selections, and “click” buttons without a mouse. The particulars of this support are described in the following sections.
Accelerator Keys
Accelerator keys are Alt-<char>, where <char> is the underlined character in the text associated with a particular control. For example, Alt-o presses the Options button to bring up the Options dialog, as indicated by the underlined “O” in the word “Options”.
Navigating Through the Items on a Screen
Tab moves forward through the items.
Shift-Tab moves backward through the items.
“Clicking” Buttons Without the Mouse
Use the accelerator keys as described above, or
For buttons with black shadowing on the right and bottom edges, press Enter.
For buttons with a dotted-line box around the button text, press the space bar.
Sometimes the shadowing and dotted-line box appear on the same button, in which case you can use either Enter or the space bar.
Checkbox and Radio Button Selection and Deselection
For check boxes, the space bar toggles the selection.
For radio buttons, the space bar selects the item, but has no effect thereafter. The only way to deselect the radio button is to move to another radio button in the same set and select it.
The accelerator key for both has the same effect as pressing the space bar when the check box or radio button has the focus.
