To use RCB, your system must meet these minimum requirements.
The minimum requirements are:
200 Mhz processor
64 MB RAM
25 MB disk space for RCB itself
10 MB disk space per buildspace for the basic file set, which grows much larger as products and build results accumulate
RCB processes a large amount of information to ensure that buildspecs are internally consistent and result in valid builds of the selected components. This processing uses a lot of memory. Therefore, more RAM than the above stated minimum will result in significantly better performance.
The values stated in Section 1.4.1 are applicable to UNIX as well. As a general rule, if the UNIX system is running a reasonably current operating system, these values are easily met. If you have any doubts, or experience poor performance, contact your system administrator.
