What you need to do depends on your database access module, as explained in this section.
Check your Oracle OCI XA documentation for information about what software is required.
To enable XA functionality, you must install the following software, in addition to the adaptive server:
DTM XA interface. This is included with the Sybase client. To verify that this interface is installed, make sure that the directory
$SYBASE/$SYBASE_OCS/lib contains the library libxadtm.
Distributed Transaction Management feature. This feature is not included with Sybase server and client. You must purchase this separately.
Check your Sybase XA documentation for more information about the required software. In particular, refer to the XA Interface Integration Guide for CICS, Encina and Tuxedo provided by Sybase.
The DB XA Module supports XA functionality for Sybase 12.0 and above.
Check your DB2 UDB documentation for more information on what software is required.
