To install and build your DB XA Module, perform the following steps:
Set up your proper compiler and database environment, just as you would for the regular installation of SourcePro DB.
Install database software related to XA, as explained in Section A.3.
Configure database-specific software, as explained in Section A.4.
Install the following SourcePro DB modules: the DB Interface Module and your database access module. There is no special installation required for the DB XA Module. Section 2.2 explains how to install modules.
Build the DB Interface Module, your database access module, and the DB XA Module as explained in Section A.5.
While writing your own applications that use the DB XA Module, refer to the DB XA Module User's Guide and DB XA Module Reference Guide for the XA-specific API and limitations on some existing API.
